At the end of the summer Limassol celebrates the country's rich viticulture with the annual grape harvest festival. Large numbers of the island's wineries and vineyards share some of the fruits of their labours during an authentic feast of buffets and wine tastings. One of the most commanding spectacles of this annual event is to witness the traditional pressing of the grapes that signals the beginning of the festivities. The event attracts around 10,000 visitors and it a great chance to see the culture of Cyprus' main wine-growing region.

ISSF World Championships in Cyprus

The World Shooting Championship that will be held in Cyprus between the 1st and 10th September 2007 is an event of high importance for Sports and for the promotion of Cyprus abroad.

Multi platinum selling hip-hop superstars 50 Cent and Akon have been booked to give a one-off performance at Nicosia GSP this summer.

The headline acts are due to perform at the launch of Medfest, the first international music festival organised by AP Entertainment and One Events, on Saturday July 28. Hip Hop mogul 50 Cent, who sits comfortably alongside the likes of Tom Cruise and Oprah at No. 8 on the Forbes Power List, will be performing an exclusive set showcasing tracks from his forthcoming album Curtis, as well as previous smash hits including Candy Shop, Just a little bit and In da club.
