Im going away to Protaras Cyprus for 1 week with my boyfriend. How much money should i take? for spends?
Laura on Friday 20th of April 2012 11:42:15 PM
It depends on what kind of accommodation and food you prefer.
I believe the average price for accommodation is 100 euro per day and you need another 50-100 euro to go out for dinner and drinks.

Hi, I am going Cyprus for study. Kindly tell me what is the minimum wages in Cyprus a month and expenses in Cyprus in a month? And may i go schengen countries for visit.
unknown on Friday 20th of April 2012 01:00:53 PM
A foreign student has the right to work up to 20 hours per week after 6 months of his /her first entry to the Republic in few specified sectors.
The monthly wage depends on many factors just like everywhere else.
I believe the most difficult thing is to find a job now.
Cyprus is not schengen country yet and you need to apply for the visa to go other countries.

I am looking for someone who used to live in Cyprus 25 years ago. Is there anywhere I can access public records?
Rachel on Friday 13th of April 2012 12:09:12 AM
Hello, i don't think there are any service for locating people. What you can do is write a post in this forum (http://www.cyprus-forum.com) describing details of the person you are looking for. That forum is a big community, and because Cyprus is a small place i believe that someone from the people there can be able to help you.
Hello, my family and I will be going to Cyprus in May for a much needed holiday at a gorgeous private Villa. We have two young girls who are fussy and sensitive to new foods, and would therefore like to know if you can take sausages and bacon into Cyprus on our flight?
Donna on Sunday 8th of April 2012 06:00:17 PM
Usually foods like meat, cheese and fruits are not allowed. This doesn't mean that the border security will check all the passengers. If you bring sausages its on your own risk. Again, meat is not allowed.

You have to know that students from third countries (not European Union students) have limited right for work. However most of them find jobs in restaurants/markets e.t.c. I would say Nicosia and Limassol are the cities you should look for accommodation. This site: http://www.cyprusvisa.eu has very good information about what you are asking

I am taking a trip to Cyprus probably spring of 2011. What is the best month -less crowds, warm weather? And what is the cheapest way to get to Cairo if i want to just spend a day or 2 there? Is it worth going to Cairo for the day?
Dani on Sunday 12th of December 2010 07:58:52 PM
May, June and July are very good months to visit Cyprus. You can go to Cairo either by plane or with a cruise (http://www.louiscruises.com, http://www.salamiscyprus.com, …). I don't think it is worth to spend all this money just to go to Cairo for 1 or 2 days. The best thing is to arrive at Cyprus, stay for 4-5 days and then take a flight to Egypt. Stay there another few days and then depart from Egypt back to your country.

I am planning to visit Cyprus during the summer months 2010 with my friends. I would like to have an idea about the present prices in the restaurants (wine, beer, sandwich, fish main course, meat main course etc. as so as coffee in the bars and cakes). Best regards from Germany.
Pavlina Fuchs on Saturday 8th of May 2010 10:13:48 AM
First of all, north Cyprus is not other country. Cyprus is one country. North Cyprus was illegal occupied by Turkish troops since 1974. Remember, going to an area not controlled by the Cyprus government you loose all your right for anything happens to you since no country in the entire world recognize that part that was illegally occupied by Turkish troops.

What would be my expenses(in AED) excluding Stay and Travel for a 5 day trip to Cyprus for May 2010?
Arnie on Saturday 27th of March 2010 04:56:02 PM
I can't give you an answer for that. First of all go here and search for a hotel. After you find the hotel you have to add you travel expenses. You have to know that for 5 days it good to have at least 500 euro for pocket money, so you can pay all your needs.

You can find parking spots very easy. The prices can be from €2 the first hour.
I can't say that there are a lot of public toilets but most of the restaurants/cafe/hotels have changing rooms for babies.
Mosquitos are not a problem in Cyprus. You will need only a small Electric Mosquito mat, which you can find it in all stores and kiosk in Cyprus.
I would like to hire a car (5 seats -A/C automatic)with no excess for 8 days in the second half of October. Could u please let me know what a reasonable per day rate should be? How many beers can one generally have and still be under the permisible limit for driving? i know the limit in terms of mircrograms etc but wanted a simpler explaination. hope u can help. Thanks.
danny on Saturday 8th of August 2009 11:20:09 AM
Danny, the limit in Cyprus is 22mg. So you have to be lower than this. From my experience, I have drunk 3 pints of Beer (KEO!!) in 1 hour and I have been caught by the police with 26mg in my blood. So you can understand how easy is to rich that limit. The best think you can do is not to drink so much alcohol, but if you are going to drink, don’t drink the last half hour before you leave from a bar/club.

You will need 90 minutes with a car to reach Polystipos from the airport. You will have to rent a car or take a taxi. If you rent a car, you will find very useful information on how to get to Agros and after to Polystipos on this site .A taxi will charge you a lot. How far is it from Larnaca airport to Kantara? And how far is it from Kyrenia to Larnaca airport? How much is it likely to cost to transfer between each destination/ We're thinking of taking a trip but want to know the best way to reach Kantara.
Anonymous on Tuesday 17th of March 2009 05:44:24 PM
Kantara is occupied by Turkish troops since 1974. To go from the Larnaca airport to Kantara you have to cross the illegal borders that was established since the Turkish illegal invasion. It will take approximately 2 hours for this root. If you are going to rent a car for this trip no car company can give you an insurance to go to the illegal occupied part of Cyprus. You have to go to Nicosia and from there to go to the illegal occupied part of Cyprus and to Kantara. Remember, going to an area not controlled by the Cyprus government you loose all your right for anything happens to you since no country in all the world recognize that part that was illegally occupied by Turkish troops.
